Women’s Weekend Retreat
–Bend, so you don’t break-
About
Do you often find yourself rushing to exercise in between lunch breaks or after work? Rushing to social commitments? Rushing to find stillness? And once you find some time for yourself, you quickly fill it up with meaningless clutter, because you can’t stand the feeling of being unproductive? Do you seldomly meditate or are not really sure how meditation actually works?
Our daily lives are often busy and packed with work or family related commitments. Even if we choose these commitments deliberately, they tire us and seldomly give us time to breathe and actually listen to what our body wants. This weekend will give you the space to connect body, mind and soul, to feel into your needs and satisfy them. With self-love and sisterly love.
This weekend will be about you. Come as you are, be who you are – or be nobody at all.
We are creating a space to practice yoga, breathe and meditate. A space where you feel safe to unfold into your true self and share this experience with nine other gorgeous women, thereby creating a flourishing sisterhood that will last much longer than this weekend.
When and Where
DATE: Weekend of 22 to 24 November 2019
LOCATION: Haus Erna, Trebbus 7, 03253 Doberlug-Kirchhain, Germany, about 2 hours from Berlin (see pictures in recent post in discussion of this event)
About the Location
“House Erna” is surrounded by lush green with its own garden and close to a forest.
House Erna will be ours for the weekend. In a small and intimate group of maximum 10 participants you will have time and space for yourself, to connect with other likeminded women, take a walk in the forest close by, take in some fresh air and thereby reawaken your spirits.
Although easy to reach from Berlin, it will take you away from obligations, duties and responsibilities for 48 hours, allowing you to unwind, unload and expand.
Meals served will be vegan/vegetarian.
Please let us know if you have any food allergies or any dietary requirements.
Experience
Everybody and every body is welcome. No prior experience needed. Absolute beginners are absolutely welcome.
Your hosts
AURELIA practiced yoga and meditation as a form of physical exercise and tool for relaxation to find balance from her job as economic adviser to a Member of the European Parliament in Brussels. In August 2018, she spent time in a healing center in Thailand, intensively practicing yoga, breathwork and meditation, and encountered the spiritual side of yoga.
She tried out different tools to release stress, tension, stored emotions and childhood trauma. Quite quickly Aurelia began to see a shift in her character, in her relationships with others and life in general. During that time, the value of trusting friendships and a supportive sisterhood became immeasurable to her.
Since then, she has been experimenting with different styles of meditation (14-day silent retreat, walking meditation, 60-hour self-love and self-healing Meditation Teacher Training), and completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training Course. She is also a certified Usui Reiki Level IV/Teacher and Chi Nei Tsang practitioner.
Aurelia has been guiding self-healing meditations during the May Yoga Teacher Training Course of Sunny Yoga on Koh Phangan, Thailand, and was teaching daily yoga classes in a women’s empowerment project as well as in a vegan Café in Kampot, Cambodia. She is looking forward to sharing her knowledge with other women in similar life situations during upcoming retreats.

GIULIA is a professional dancer who, after her studies in Italy, moved to Germany in 2013 to continue her dancing career. This is also where she first encountered yoga. She started to experience great benefits for her body and mind that the practice of yoga provides, especially when dealing with anxiety and restlessness.
During her first years in Berlin she kept working as a professional dancer for various companies and projects. In early 2016 she started to teach dance classes to kids and adults. She has always had a keen interest in the art of movement and loves to share this with her students. Teaching them to (re)connect with their bodies through dance and improvisation, helping them to discover new ways of movement whilst focusing on the breath. To be conscious of each movement in each moment.
Her Yoga practice is inspired by dance and she likes to get creative on the mat.
After several years of yoga practice, she started to dig deeper into yoga philosophy and meditation. In early 2019 she completed a 200-hour Multi-Style Yoga Teacher Training Course in Thailand and took part in a “Continuing Education for Yoga Teachers” in Italy.
Currently she is based in Berlin, where she works as a Dance and Yoga Teacher in different studios.

Hindu goddess Lakshmi personifies good fortune, wealth and prosperity, as well as delight, splendor, health, and charm.
Can you explain the different workshops to me?
DANCING WARRIORS: Explore new ways of moving on the mat. Get creative and discover your own unique ability to “flow”. Like a dance, moving with grace, harmony and fluidity.
FREE TIME: Journal about your experience, take a nap, go for a walk or connect with other women.
HATHA YOGA: Ha means “sun” and tha “moon”, the yoga of balance. An energizing and invigorating practice, to align and calm the body, mind and spirit. Postures are held for a several breaths.
MINDFULNESS AND BREATHWORK: Feelings-awareness meditation practice that supports you in exploring emotions and releasing behavioral patterns with focus on nurturing self-love.
Preceded by breathing techniques that allow you to reach meditative states easily.
OPENING AND CLOSING CIRCLE: For us it is important to welcome everyone, present ourselves and give you the chance to introduce yourself. If you feel like it you can share your intentions for the weekend. At the closing circle we will talk about the experience and thank each other for our presence before saying goodbye.
PRANAYAMA AND YIN YOGA: Relax and let go of the day with calming breathwork and grounding yoga postures. Yin is a slow-paced style of yoga, where the postures are held for a longer time.
REIKI INSPIRED SESSION: We offer a mix of different energy healing techniques and use it to connect and share with each other.
SILENT MEDITATION: This is optional! You can join us and sit in silence (or sleep longer!). You can drop in at any moment, quietly.
VINYASA YOGA: Vinyasa means “to place in a special way”, it is a flowing and dynamic yoga style. The emphasis is on linking movement with breath and connecting the poses in a flowing sequence.
YONI YOGA: A sensual body movement, meditation and breathwork practice focused on femininity.
